+American democracy is in serious danger. Robert Reich, American professor, author, lawyer, political commentator, and previous Secretary of Labor created a video[1] explaining how Trump loyalists are rigging the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
+
+The twice-impeached wannabe dictator[2] and his cronies should be prosecuted for their involvement in the January 6th coup attempt[3] and barred from ever holding public office again. That's the only reasonable outcome given what happened that day.
+
+We also need to pass legislation to strengthen and ultimately save American democracy. Here are just a few ideas to get started on that:
+* automatic voter registration for all eligible voters
+* ranked-choice voting (first-past-the-post inevitably leads to two-party rule)
+* prohibit undue burdens on the right to vote (no voter suppression measures)
+* give prisoners and felons the right to vote
+* nonpartisan commissions for drawing congressional maps (end gerrymandering)
+* abolish the filibuster (it's undemocratic)
+* abolish the electoral college (it's undemocratic)
+* public financing of elections (weaken the power of lobbying)
+* require all congressional candidates to disclose political donations
+* ban members of congress from owning specific stocks (it's insider trading)
+* require all congressional candidates to disclose their tax returns
